Police arrested former Chhatra Dal president Fazlur Rahman Khokon in Dhaka on Tuesday night.
Khokon was accused in multiple cases, media reports quoted Hatirjheel police station OC Awlad Hossain as saying.
Meanwhile, Chhatra Dal claimed that Khokon was having tea with a friend when local Chhatra League activists assaulted him physically before turning him over to the police.
