BGB Director General Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan visited Ghumdhum BOP under 34 BGB to see the operational, training and administrative activities of various units of BGB.
On Tuesday (April 11) morning, he visited Ghumdhum area on the Naikshyongchari border. Earlier, he visited Teknaf Battalion (2 BGB) and Shahpari Island BOP. Public relations officer of BGB. Shariful Islam confirmed this.
He conveyed greetings to the Border Guard Police (BGP) of Myanmar and exchanged pleasantries with them during his visit to the Bangladesh-Myanmar Friendship Bridge, with a view to enhancing bilateral relations and mutual friendship between the border security forces of Bangladesh and Myanmar. Lieutenant Colonel Kyaw Nyein Swe, the commander of the No. 2 Border Guard Police (BGP) Battalion, along with other officers, accompanied him during his visit and exchanged greetings and courtesies.
He also said that the BGB Director General gave greetings to the members of the Myanmar Border Guard Force on the occasion of the upcoming Chaitra Sankranti, PahelaBaishakh and Biju festivals and participated in a photo session with them.
At that time, Additional Director General (Operations and Training) of BGB Headquarters, Cox's Bazar Region Commander, Ramu Sector Commander, Captain of Cox's Bazar Battalion (34 BGB) and others of BGB and BGP were present.
