Dengue has claimed three more lives in the last 24-hour, when hospitals around the country admitted 1,197 new patients.
Last year, the country recorded a massive number of fatalities, with 1,705 dengue-related deaths and a total of 3,21,179 cases.
“In the last 24 hours, 421 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city,” the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a handout on Monday (October 28).
This year, a total of 58,108 patients were hospitalised, while 280 deaths from dengue disease were reported during the period, the statement added.
