Kurigram District Awami Ainjibi Samity held a protest rally yesterday against the BNP leaders' threat to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The rally was led by District Awami League Vice-President and Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate SM Abraham Lincoln.
A meeting was held after the rally in front of Kurigram Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in the district town today.
District Awami League Vice-President and Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate SM Abraham Lincoln, former General Secretary of District Bar Association Advocate Amjad Hossain, Advocate Mohabbat Ali, Advocate Bir Muktijoddha Mujibur Rahman, Advocate Shamsuddoha Rubel, Advocate Zahir Uddin, Advocate Nazmul Hossain, among others, spoke.
The speakers at the rally demanded immediate arrest of the culprit, who issued the threat to kill AL chief and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. They also urged the concerned authority to ensure his exemplary punishment.
The speakers urged the District Awami Ainjibi Samity, AL leaders and activists to remain alert against any sort of conspiracy to destabilize the country.
