Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora, the director of the National Institute of Preventive and Social Medicine (NIPSOM), has been made OSD (Officer on Special Duty) in the face of protest by the officers and employees working in the institution.
She was transferred to the Health Services Division, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Abu Raihan Dolan, Senior Assistant Secretary of Health Services Division (Par-2), issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday.
On 31 January, Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora was appointed the director of the NIPSOM.
Sabrina Flora, who became a household name for Covid briefings when the pandemic first hit, was promoted to the post of additional director general of the health directorate on August 13, 2020. Before that, she had served as director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research.
