Jichi Medical University of JAPAN envoy meet with
the Noakhali Science and Technology University ( NSTU) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Ismail ol courtesy to the delegation of Japan at Bangladesh Medical University on Wednesday (28 January 2026) morning.
During the meeting, Novikrab Vice Chancellor shed light on strengthening joint research between researchers from Japan and Bangladesh. He fruitful discussions on mutual cooperation and future in the fields of education, research and innovation between Novikrab and Jichi Medical University. After the discussion, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad Ismail exchanged gifts from Novikrab (jute bags with logos) and gifts brought by the Japanese delegation from Japan.
At that time, Professor Dr. Sahoko Ichihara, Associate Professor Dr. Nathan Misei, Dr. Ekegami, Dr. Yuki Kitamura, Bangladesh Medical University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research and Development) Professor Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman Howlader and NOBIPRU Associate Professor of Environmental Science and Disaster Management Department and Director of Student Counseling and Guidance Office Dr. Md. Shiblur Rahman were present.
It is noted that under the supervision of Professor Ichihara, the head of the Japanese delegation, NOBIPRU teacher Dr. Md. Shiblur Rahman has been conducting joint research as a visiting researcher at Jichi Medical University from 2020 to 2022 after successfully completing 2 years of research work funded by the JSPS (Oujchjh) Postdoctoral Fellowship from 2020 to 2022.
