
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday said Bangladesh’s people will learn a lot of little-known and historical facts from the movie “Mujib: The Making of a Nation.”
The prime minister reached the National Film Archive in Agargaon in the morning to attend the premiere of the “Mujib: The Making of a Nation”, the much-anticipated biopic of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Hasan Mahmud and leading artists of the film received Sheikh Hasina at the venue.
Urging people to watch the movie, the prime minister said: “Tomorrow (Friday) this movie is going to be released across the country. You will learn a lot of unknown histories from this movie.”
On the occasion the premier also announced the release of the movie “Mujib: the making of a nation”.
Later, she entered the theatre room of the archive to watch the movie.
This movie is all set to have a nationwide theatrical release on Friday.
The official trailer for the film was released on October 1 on its Bangladesh distributor Jaaz Multimedia and Indian NFDC’s YouTube channels.
Directed by Shyam Benegal, this joint Bangladesh-India production is scheduled to be released across India on October 27.
