Govt to procure refined fuel oil worth over 10,000C

The government on Wednesday approved a proposal to procure refined fuel from state-owned enterprises of various countries under the government-to-government (G2G) system for the second half of 2025 (July–December), at an estimated cost of around Tk10,006.63 crore, based on the premium and reference price.

The approval came during the 24th meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP), held at the Bangladesh Secretariat with Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed presiding.


According to a proposal from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, refined fuel oil will be procured from PTTT (Thailand), ENOC (United Arab Emirates), PetroChina Co Ltd (China), BSP (Indonesia), Petco Trading Labuan Company Ltd (Malaysia), Unipec (China), and IOCL (India).

Additionally, in response to another proposal from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, 25,000 tons of Gasoline 95 Unleaded Octane will be procured from PT Bumi Siak Pusako Zapin (BSP), Indonesia, at a cost of around Tk208.63 crore.
