The family of Abu Sayed, a university student who lost his life during the quota reform protest on July 16 in Rangpur, filed a case on Sunday against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and 16 others over the death.
The application for the case, filed with a court in Rangpur, also mentioned Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader as the accused.
Abu Sayed was a student of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur.
