Fuel oil prices are falling. The government has determined the price of fuel in coordination with the world market. The new prices will be effective from midnight on Saturday (August 31).
The price of diesel and kerosene has been reduced by Tk1.25 per litre, while petrol and octane have been lowered by Tk6 per litre for consumers.
This information was confirmed in a press release from the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources on Saturday.
The new prices will be effective from Sunday.
According to the press release, in line with global market trends and the automated pricing formula, fuel prices are adjusted monthly.
In this adjustment, the price of diesel has been reduced from Tk106.75 to Tk105.50 per litre, while kerosene has also been set at Tk105.50 per litre.
Meanwhile, the price of petrol has been reduced from Tk127 Taka to Tk121 per litre, and the price of octane has been adjusted from Tk131 to Tk125 per litre.
