The former vice-chancellor of Dhaka University has been appointed as the chairman of University Grants Commission. S. M. A. Faiz. He has been appointed as Chairman for the next four years.
The announcement was made through a statement by the Ministry of Education.
Professor Dr SMA Faiz is a former professor of the Department of Soil, Water, and Environment at the University of Dhaka, former vice-chancellor of the University of Dhaka, and former chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission.
