The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has decided to take legal action based on its probe report as it has found evidence of forgery against Biman pilots Sadia and Al Mehedi Islam.
According to the CAAB investigation team, the regulatory body will withdraw the commercial pilot licence (CPL) of Sadia, a first officer at Biman Bangladesh Airlines, as she failed to submit proper evidence for her claim that she had been a science student in college.
CAAB will also withdraw Mehedi’s licence for his involvement in forging a signature and submitting a fake airline transport pilot licence certificate. Mehedi is also a first officer at Biman.
They were now facing five years in jail and a fine to the tune of Tk1 crore, an official of the inquiry team said.
