Authorities at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka have detained Journalist couple Shakil Ahmed and Farzana Rupa, who were sacked from Ekattor Television recently.
Immigration authorities at the airport detained them after rejecting permission to go to Paris on a Turkish Airlines flight on Wednesday.
Later, Shakil Ahmed and Farzana Rupa were handed over to the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
