Pubali Bank PLC has officially launched its digital "Cashless" banking services in Nilphamari under the slogan, "Transactions are becoming cashless, Bangladesh is moving forward."
The service was inaugurated on Tuesday afternoon (April 21) at the Municipal Super Market area in the district town. Mohammad Altab Hossain, Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Pubali Bank’s Rangpur Region, inaugurated the program by cutting a ribbon and releasing balloons. The event was presided over by ATM Redwanur Rashid, Manager of Pubali Bank’s Nilphamari Branch. Other notable speakers included:
Humayun Kabir, Principal Officer of the ADC Division (Rangpur Region). Abdur Rouf Rouful, President of the Bangladesh Private Hospital and Clinic Association (Nilphamari Branch).
Magni Masudul Alam Dulal, Convener of the District Krishak Dal. Akhtar Hossain Swapan, Owner of Priya Food. According to local branch sources, a temporary service booth has been set up at the Municipal Super Market premises. For the next three days, this booth will provide various digital banking services, including free account opening and the issuance of free debit cards. The initiative aims to encourage customers to shift from physical cash to digital transactions. In his speech as the Chief Guest, Mohammad Altab Hossain emphasized that there is no alternative to digital banking for ensuring transparency, accountability, and preventing corruption. He expressed confidence that the people of Nilphamari will benefit significantly from this initiative and that it will help motivate the community to embrace cashless banking.
