A van driver named Rabiul Islam (25) was killed after being hit by a sand-laden tractor in Kishorganj, Nilphamari. The accident occurred on Saturday (April 25) at noon in front of Shishu Niketan School and College, adjacent to the Kishorganj Upazila Parishad. The deceased, Rabiul, was the son of the late Nizam Uddin from the Panialpukur Kholahati area of Nitai Union.
According to local sources, Rabiul was heading towards Kishorganj Bazar with goods on his van. On the way, a sand-laden tractor going in the same direction hit the van, leaving him critically injured. Locals rescued him and took him to the Upazila Health Complex, where the attending physician declared him dead. Lutfor Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kishorganj Police Station, confirmed the matter and stated that the body would be handed over to the family after completing the necessary legal procedures. The tractor involved in the accident has been seized.
