World Vision’s Nilphamari Area Program Concludes with Farewell Ceremony

​International development organization 'World Vision Bangladesh' has officially announced the conclusion of its Nilphamari Area Program operations after working for a long time to improve the living standards of local children, youth, and marginalized communities. On this occasion, a closing and thanksgiving ceremony was organized at the District Shilpakala Academy auditorium on Monday morning (September 7).
​Chaired by Chandan Z. Gomes, Senior Director (Operations) of World Vision Bangladesh, the ceremony was attended by Nilphamari District Magistrate and Deputy Commissioner Md. Nayiruzzaman as the chief guest.
​At the beginning of the program, the guests were welcomed with flowers and ceremonial sashes. The event featured readings from holy scriptures, a captivating cultural performance, the unveiling of a book on success stories, and the screening of a documentary highlighting the organization's various development initiatives. Beneficiaries shared their real-life experiences and success stories regarding how their quality of life improved through World Vision.
​In his speech as chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Md. Nayiruzzaman said, "The primary goal of any development initiative should be to enhance human capacity and bring about sustainable change. In particular, the collaborative effort between government and non-governmental organizations must continue for the protection of children and youth."
​In his presidential address, Chandan Z. Gomes stated, "The success of our long journey in Nilphamari is the result of joint efforts by local residents, public representatives, district administration, and partners."
​Director (Operations & Technical Program) of World Vision Bangladesh, Lima Hanna Daring, spoke as a special guest. Among others who spoke at the event were Deputy Director (Field Operations) Raju William Rosario, Senior Manager of Nilphamari Anukul Chandra Barman, Nilphamari District Press Club President A. B. M. Monjurul Alam Siam, Palashbari Union Parishad Chairman Ibrahim Talukder, and Upazila Agriculture Officer Atiq Ahmed.
​At the end of the ceremony, crests of appreciation were awarded to individuals and organizations that made special contributions to the successful implementation of the project, followed by the official declaration of the closure of the Area Program.
