A Dhaka court on Tuesday acquitted BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia in five defamation cases lodged against her in various charges.
The court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubul Haque passed the order acquitting her in four cases. She was also acquitted in another defamation case in the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain in the morning.
Khaleda Zia’s lawyer Masud Ahmed Talukder confirmed the matter to the journalists.
