Our Visit To Cox’s Bazar

Awatif Shah Tami  : My mom’s birthday passed a few days ago. As a birthday present me and my father decided to take mom on a vacation in Cox’s Bazar.

We decided to go on 27th December, 2021. Car journeys take a long time and are super boring, so we decided to go by Air Travel. We all packed our necessary equipment and went to sleep.

The next day we woke up early, became fresh, ate our breakfast and went to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Our flight was at10:30 a.m, so we reached the domestic terminal by 10 o’clock. After getting our boarding passes and other things we went to the place from where we will check-in to the plane. We were travelling by US Bangla Airlines.

Our plane was Boeing-727, business-class. We took-off at10:45 a.m. and landed at 11:05 a.m. As for the Covid-19 pandemic we had to sanitize our hands and wear masks before entering the aero plane. After the safe landing in Cox’s Bazar Domestic Airport, our driver from Long-Beach hotel came to pick us up.

My parents went to Cox’s Bazar many times with me and stayed at this hotel because I prefer this hotel is amazing! We checked-in, our room was 502 and after checking-in we rested for a couple of hours, ate lunch and went to Inani-Beach to see the sunset. The journey was 2 hours long and we stopped by a few places to see the beach and took some photos of it. These boats are basically used in the Oceans and I wonder how scary it is to be stranded in the middle of the ocean on these boats.

We went to Inani beach and went on a bike ride. Beside the beach, some people hire bikes to enjoy and feel the scenery. We came back from there on another 2 hour journey and to end the day with happiness, we went to Fish World. The Fish World in Cox’s Bazar contained so many breeds of fishes that I was stunned! Alas! After roaming around we finally went back to our hotel.

I did not take a bath that day so after coming from the swimming pool at 8:30 p.m. we rested for an hour and we went to eat dinner. After coming back we went to sleep. Next day 28th December, 2021 after having breakfast in our hotel we went to Ramu Temple. The Ramu Temple is a Buddha Temple.

The temple contained a huge spectacular lying figure of the Bhuddha, made of gold. When we were coming back to the hotel, a sudden decision was made to visit Moheshkhali.

The place needs to be visited by a speedboat. Moheshkhali is the place where most of the salt farming is done. The betel leaf in Moheshkhali is famous all around Bangladesh. We went by speed boat and the journey was only 15 miles long. When we reached there I was so stunned to see that the place was nearly a copy of Sundarban. We hired a driver and went to a few places like the place where farmers farm salt, the famous betel leaves and lastly the dry fish market.

It was a hard day and we still enjoyed these places. Next day was our main destination in Cox’s Bazar, The Saint Martin! We woke up super early and hurriedly got ready because Bus was arriving at 6 a.m but due to heavy traffic, it reached at 6:20 a.m. Our destination was to reach Teknaf first then hop on a ship to Saint Martin. Saint Martin is a small island so it doesn`t have any airport.

On top of that the time to reach Saint Martin is three hours by ship which I kind of think is long. Anyways, after a 3-hour long period we finally reached the place and immediately went to Chera Dwip.

It is a small portion kind of separated from Saint Martin. Then we went back to Saint Martin. A quick info- (to reach Chera Dwip we needed to hire a speed boat and go there, the journey was 15 mins long). We roamed different tourist spots and went to our resort which was a 5 Star Resort. As I mentioned earlier Saint Martin isn`t small but also isn’t large. It`s moderately medium in size.

It contains predominantly 6-7 resorts. As we finished seeing all the chief tourist spots and finishing our lunch at the resort, coming back from Saint Martin to teknaf was our next Major concern. We started another 3-hour long journey back to Teknaf at 1:30 p.m I presume. We were so tired but I was the most, we went back to Cox’s Bazar from Teknaf and reached our Hotel. Next day at 5 p.m was our flight back to Dhaka. I enjoyed the Vacation and couldn’t wait to tell that to my friends! Moreover, the next day was the New Year!!! We packed up everything, ate our breakfast and lunch and finally went to the airport.

It seemed that the plane we are going on was the identical one we were on when we came to Cox’s Bazar. At 6:05 p.m., we reached Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka. So this was my story thank you and BYE BYE!!!!
