Farhad Hossain Azad MP, State Minister for Water Resources, has called upon the youth of the country to prepare themselves for employment through technology-based skill training. He stated that youth equipped with IT knowledge are being provided training to enhance their skills through Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The BNP government is implementing all forms of support in this regard. To build a skilled youth community, the proper use of AI technology must be ensured. The Department of Youth Development is offering training in various trades to boost self-employment skills among unemployed youth. He made these remarks as the chief guest while inaugurating a two-day program on the occasion of National Youth Day in Bogura on Sunday. The event—held at the Regional Center Auditorium of the Department of Youth Development in Bogura—featured the distribution of youth loan checks, youth training, registration of youth organizations, certificate distribution, and the conferring of honors upon successful entrepreneurs, youth organizers, and self-reliant individuals of the district.
In the morning, a colorful rally was brought out in the Tinmatha Railgate area of the city. State Minister Farhad Hossain Azad MP inaugurated a tree-planting campaign and visited the Youth Fair and exhibition stalls displaying youth-manufactured products. Redwanul Islam Akib, a youth organizer and entrepreneur, was among the award recipients. The joint program was organized by the Bogura District Administration and the Department of Youth Development under the theme "Skilled Youth Will Build the Nation, Bangladesh for Everyone." The event was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Md. Taufiqur Rahman.
Special guests at the inaugural ceremony included District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha MP, Bogura City Corporation Administrator M R Islam Swadhin, District Council Administrator AKM Ahsanul Taiob Zakir, and Superintendent of Police Mirza Sayem Mahmud. The welcome speech was delivered by Md. Sahabuddin Sardar, Deputy Director of the Department of Youth Development, Bogura. Also present at the event were Mominur Rashid Shine, Chairman of the Bangladesh Journalist Development Organization; Maftun Ahmed Khan Rubel, Vice President of District BNP and President of Sadar Upazila BNP; Moniruzzaman Moni, General Secretary of City BNP; Sheikh Tahauddin Nahin, Joint Secretary of District BNP; Sahid Un Nabi Salam, Organizational Secretary of District BNP; Khademul Islam, former President of District Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal; Habibur Rashid Sondhan, President of District Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal; and M R Hasan Palash, General Secretary of District Chhatra Dal.
