CHIRIRBANDAR, DINAJPUR: Md. Fazle Elahi, Upazila Secondary Education Officer in Chirirbandar, is working diligently to improve educational standards, prevent student dropouts and ensure a better learning environment.
The Upazila Secondary Education Office supports around 170 educational institutions. Fazle Elahi said secondary education is the backbone of the education system and essential for overall development.
He noted that regular monitoring is underway to improve the SSC results of underperforming institutions. He also emphasised preventing child marriage and drug abuse, as well as promoting sports and cultural activities alongside academic education.
Describing his profession as a “thankless job,” he said education officials continue serving national interests despite criticism.
Regarding free textbook distribution, he explained that collecting and distributing books supplied by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) is a lengthy process that may continue until April. Despite various challenges, he reaffirmed his commitment to improving the quality of secondary education in Chirirbandar.
