Under the revenue allocation for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, educational scholarship cheques were distributed among meritorious students of Domar and Dimla Upazilas, certificates were awarded to successful trainees of the Nilphamari Zila Parishad Digital Lab computer course, and wheelchairs were provided to persons with disabilities. These items and cheques were presented during a ceremony held today, August 6, at the Zila Parishad conference room.
At the event, Mr. Md. Mijanur Rahman Chowdhury, Administrator of Nilphamari Zila Parishad, was present as the chief guest and handed over the scholarship cheques, certificates, and wheelchairs to the beneficiaries. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Md. Saidul Islam, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad.
Scholarship cheques worth BDT 5,000 each were presented to a total of 27 meritorious students from Domar and Dimla Upazilas. Additionally, certificates were awarded to 7 trainees who successfully completed the computer training course at the Nilphamari Zila Parishad Digital Lab. Wheelchairs were also handed over to 2 persons with special needs (disabilities) to facilitate their mobility. In his speech, the chief guest urged the students to enrich themselves with technical and technological skills alongside their regular studies to contribute to nation-building.
