Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal has undertaken a nationwide tree plantation initiative to combat the adverse effects of climate change and preserve environmental balance. As part of this program, a tree plantation and sapling distribution campaign was held at Barunir Danga Adarsha High School in Sangalshi Union under Nilphamari Sadar Upazila. Organized by Sadar Upazila Chhatra Dal, various species of fruit-bearing and timber saplings were distributed among general students and planted on the school campus.
Speaking at the event, Nilphamari Sadar Upazila Chhatra Dal Convener Md. Mokleshur Rahman Kajol stated, "This continuous effort aims to build a green Bangladesh and present a safe, healthy environment to the future generation. We have taken this initiative to foster environmental awareness and cultivate a eco-friendly mindset among young students." Former Assistant Publicity Secretary of Sadar Upazila Chhatra Dal Md. Tanvir Masud, along with student leaders Rayhanul Jannat, Shanto, Rahimul, Shamim, and other local leaders, were present at the event.
Md. Miru, Headmaster of Barunir Danga Adarsha High School, extended full support to the program. He appreciated this social initiative by Chhatra Dal and urged students to take regular care of the planted trees alongside planting them. Later, the headmaster and Chhatra Dal leaders, together with the students, planted saplings of various species across the school premises.
