Scholarship checks for educational assistance have been distributed among meritorious female students who achieved GPA-5 in the SSC examination from various educational institutions in Nilphamari Sadar Upazila, funded by the revenue allocation of the Nilphamari Zila Parishad for the 2026-27 fiscal year. Today, during a program organized at the Circuit Auditorium, scholarship checks were handed over to 255 students. Earlier in the first phase, 80 students were provided with this assistance.
Advocate Md. Mijanur Rahman Chowdhury, Administrator of the Zila Parishad, presided over the ceremony held at the Nilphamari Circuit House. Engr. Shahrin Islam Chowdhury Tuhin, former Member of Parliament for Nilphamari-1 constituency and Convener of the Association of Engineers Bangladesh (AEB), attended the event as the chief guest.
Congratulationing the meritorious students in his speech, chief guest Engr. Shahrin Islam Chowdhury Tuhin said, "This initiative by the Zila Parishad to promote female education and help students acquire quality education is truly commendable. You are the future of tomorrow. You must study attentively to build yourselves as worthy citizens for the welfare of the country and the nation. I believe this financial educational assistance will make your academic journey smoother and inspire you further."
Along with the scholarships, goalposts for the football ground of Tupamari Union, medical assistance funds for two sick individuals, and a financial assistance check on behalf of the Zila Parishad for the Chapani Hat Central Jame Mosque were also handed over during the event.
