NCC Bank Distributes Agricultural Inputs to 1,500 Farmers in Nilphamari

Agricultural inputs have been distributed to around 1,500 farmers in Nilphamari under the initiative of NCC Bank PLC. On Thursday (November 5) at noon, former Member of Parliament Engineer Shahrin Islam Chowdhury Tuhin handed over these inputs to the beneficiary farmers as the chief guest at an event held on the premises of the district town's Shaheed Minar. The event was presided over by the bank's Managing Director, M. Shamsul Arefin.
The program was addressed by the bank's Chairman Alhaj Md. Nurun Newaz, District Council Administrator Advocate Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury Shamim, and Humayra Mondal, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension's district office, who spoke as honored guests.
In his speech as the chief guest, Engineer Shahrin Islam Chowdhury Tuhin said that NCC Bank does not solely focus on business, but also cares about the welfare of the country's farmers. He noted that providing these agricultural inputs from a portion of the bank's profits is a commendable initiative, remarking that such an initiative had never been taken before. Additionally, he requested the bank authorities to provide a bus for the commuting convenience of Nilphamari Government College students—a request the bank authorities gladly accepted, expressing hope that the bus will be handed over very soon.
Speaking at the event, the bank's Managing Director, M. Shamsul Arefin, shared that besides the sadar upazila, assistance is being provided to a total of 1,500 farmers—500 in each area of Domar and Dimla upazilas. Each farmer's package includes 20 kg of DAP fertilizer, 15 kg of MOP fertilizer, 10 kg of gypsum, 1 kg of zinc, and 5 kg of paddy seeds.
