The Corps of Signals of the Bangladesh Army organized a farewell parade for the outgoing Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, also the colonel commandant of the corps, at the Jessore Cantonment on Thursday.
In his speech, General Shafiuddin expressed his sincere gratitude to all concerned for their full cooperation during his tenure as the colonel commandant.
He expressed hope that the Corps of Signals of the Bangladesh Army will continue its progress towards becoming a modern unit.
Earlier, the army chief was welcomed by GOC 55 Infantry Division and Jessore Area Commander on his arrival. Besides, a farewell darbar was also held at the cantonment.
General Shafiuddin took charge as the 10th colonel commandant of the Corps of Signals on March 8, 2022.
