Qatar Charity Provides Emergency Relief to 180,000 Flood-Affected People in Bangladesh

Qatar Charity has delivered urgent humanitarian aid to 180,000 individuals who were severely impacted by recent floods in southeastern Bangladesh. The organization distributed essential food supplies across the Noakhali district, prioritizing support for vulnerable groups such as families with children, the elderly, and those with disabilities.

According to a press release from Qatar Charity’s Dhaka office, the relief packages included crucial items like rice, flattened rice, cooking oil, salt, sugar, lentils, biscuits, potatoes, and bottled water. These provisions were vital for addressing the immediate nutritional needs of those who had lost their homes and sources of income due to the flooding.

The distribution was coordinated with local authorities to ensure that the aid reached the most affected people effectively. Residents expressed profound gratitude for Qatar Charity's timely assistance, and local officials commended the organization for its rapid and impactful response.

Kaniz Fatema, UNO of Shinaimuri Upazila, attended the relief distribution and praised Qatar Charity's efforts, emphasizing that their support not only provided essential relief but also restored hope among the flood-affected communities.
