Popular actor Pori Moni has once again sparked more discussions and controversies about her personal life than her films.
In addition to her widely known marriage, affairs, and separation, she has faced legal complications and has served time in jail.
In an interview, she opened up about her traumatic experiences in prison, revealing that she learned a lot of curse words during her time there.
When asked what she learned from her jail experience, Pori Moni said: “I was sent to jail. What good could I possibly learn from there?”
She added: “I picked up a lot of cursing. The inmates were always doing that. What else would I learn? I was surrounded by drug addicts.”
Reflecting on some of her harrowing experiences, she described prison as having a unique world where every inmate has their own story.
She said: “I saw many people who had been to jail more than 40 times. Some would walk around with blades. There were fights and groupings. Many would intentionally start arguments to pass the time.”
She also said that when she was about to leave jail, some inmates cried.
“When I was leaving, many were sad. There were tears and choked voices because I had built good relationships with some.”
“But there were also those who were happy thinking, finally, she’s gone,” she added.
Pori Moni was arrested by RAB on August 4, 2021, in connection with a drug case, where various drugs were found in her residence.
She was later imprisoned for 26 days due to the drug charges.
