No-Hassle Land Services to the Doorsteps: ‘Land Service Week’ Begins in Nilphamari; District Adminis

With the theme "People-Friendly Automated Land Management: Secured Land, Prosperous Future," the three-day 'Land Service Week and Land Service Fair 2026' is set to begin in Nilphamari with a series of diverse programs. On this occasion, the district administration organized a press briefing this Sunday afternoon (17 May) at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner's office.
Deputy Commissioner of Nilphamari, Mohammad Nayiruzzaman, was present as the chief guest at the press briefing, while Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), Saiful Islam, delivered the welcome address. It was shared at the press briefing that the main objective of this year’s Land Service Week is to familiarize the general public more closely with digital land services. As part of the program, modern services including online mutation (e-mutation), land development tax payment, lease money payment, and receiving e-porcha will be provided directly at the fair. Additionally, public hearings, special seminars, and debate and quiz competitions for students have been organized for the convenience of the general public.
In his speech, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Saiful Islam stated that through this special program of Land Service Week, it will be possible to raise public awareness, make land services accessible and transparent, increase government revenue, and swiftly resolve complaints from the general public. He further mentioned that the three-day fair will be officially inaugurated with a colorful rally on the morning of May 19.
Chief Guest Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nayiruzzaman remarked that the current government has taken timely and revolutionary steps to make the country's land management more effective, modern, and accessible to the common people. He expressed hope that the general public will easily enjoy the benefits of this automated land management, which will significantly reduce land-related hassles and irregularities.
