The government will start the process of extradition of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina once she is convicted in court, says chief adviser’s deputy press secretary Apurba Jahangir.
“There are cases against Sheikh Hasina. The process of returning her home will begin after the court verdict,” he told the media on Wednesday (October 30) at Foreign Service Academy.
He said Bangladesh has an extradition treaty with India, so it is possible to bring her back to the country under the treaty.
