Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md. Sabirul Islam visited the Harijan Shelter Project in Krishnapur of Nargun Union of Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila. On Tuesday, he planted 2 saplings in the shelter project area.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Jahangir Hossain, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abu Taher Md. Samsuzzaman among others were present. Rangpur Divisional Commissioner gifted 2 fruit and forest tree saplings to each family living in the shelter project. He also asked the district administration to take steps to provide dustbins for waste removal, installation of 2 tubewells and paving of dirty roads to the residents. Earlier, he distributed sanitary napkins and sports equipment among the female students of Dakshin Bathina Shapla Secondary School of Sadar Upazila.
He also inspected the wash block construction project for female students.
