Two college students killed and one injured in a road accident at Asashuni in Satkhira

Two out of three college students were killed and one injured in a road accident at Asashuni in Satkhira. The accident took place near Dhapua Bridge in Dargahpur Union of Asashuni Upazila at around 7 am on Wednesday (March 6) morning. 
The two deceased students name are Nayan Ghosh, 19, son of Niranjan Ghosh and William Ghosh, 18, son of Jagannath Ghosh village of Amania, Tarali union of Kaliganj upazila under Satkhira district and Colonel Ghosh, 19, son of Tarak Ghosh at the same village was seriously injured at this time. The injured Colonel Ghosh Ashashuni is undergoing treatment at Upazila Health Complex. All of them are HSC second year students of Kaliganj College. 
According to police and local sources, Nayan Ghosh, William Ghosh and Colonel Ghosh along with three friends went on a motorcycle on Tuesday (March 5) evening from Kaliganj to Jethuya Jalalpur village of Tala Upazila to see a meritorious program organized at Jagannath Gurudev Temple. 
After watching the worthy event all night, they left for Kaliganj on a motorcycle on Wednesday morning. On the way, when they reached Dhapua Bridge area under construction on Dargahpur Kadakati road, they lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into the pillar of the bridge and fell into the water. 
Nayan Ghosh and William Ghosh were killed on the spot and Colonel Ghosh was seriously injured. Locals quickly rescued Colonel Ghosh and admitted him to Asashuni Upazila Health Complex. 
At that time, the locals complained that the contractor had left the partial work of this Thapua bridge under construction. Which is very dangerous. Here people often suffer from some kind of accident. 
Asashuni Upazila Fire Service Station Officer (Acting) Belal Hossen said, after getting information from the locals, they recovered two dead bodies and a motorcycle from the spot and handed them over to the police. 
In this incident, Asashuni police station officer-in-charge (OC) Biswajit Kumar Adhikari said, two dead bodies were recovered and sent to Satkhira Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem and the injured Colonel Ghosh was admitted to Asashuni Upazila Health Complex.
