Candidates have submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman demanding the announcement of the final oral examination schedule for the 8th NTRCA exam and the swift completion of the recruitment process.
The memorandum was presented through the Deputy Commissioner of Nilphamari on Tuesday (July 28) afternoon. Candidates handed over the memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nayiruzzaman. Senior Assistant Teachers Isbad Hossain Babu, Subash Chandra Roy, and Nazrul Islam, among other candidates, were present at the time.
The memorandum stated that non-government secondary schools across the country have been facing a severe shortage of permanent and qualified institutional heads for a long time. As a result, the administrative and academic activities of these schools are being severely disrupted. Most institutions are barely getting by, running administrative work and teaching with acting headteachers.
To resolve this crisis, an MCQ exam was held on April 18 to recruit permanent headteachers through NTRCA, and the results were published on April 22. However, even after a long time has passed since the publication of the results, no initiative has been taken yet for the final oral examination.
Expressing frustration over the matter, Subash Chandra Roy, a senior teacher at Ramganj Dhimukhi High School, said that the lingering delay and uncertainty in the recruitment process have created extreme despair among thousands of meritorious candidates who passed. In demand of holding the oral exam quickly, memoranda were submitted today, Tuesday, to the Prime Minister through Deputy Commissioners nationwide. Following this, a human chain program has been announced across the country for August 1. They urged the government to take effective steps immediately to resolve the crisis.
