Building construction work is ongoing in the Natipara Billpara area of Bogura city, defying the directives of the City Corporation. Following a complaint filed with the Bogura City Corporation by an individual named Mominur regarding the failure to leave space for a road during construction, the city authorities issued a notice ordering a halt to the work.
Mominur Rahman, a resident of Bill Natipara under Ward No. 20 of Bogura City Corporation, stated that when irregularities were found in building construction without leaving space for the road in South Natipara, the city authorities issued a notice ordering the work to be stopped. He added, "Previously, when I raised objections against the construction of a house violating the approved design, Monir and Obaidul got furious and verbally abused me with offensive language. When I protested, Obaidul pushed me, physically assaulted me, and threatened me with death."
Upon visiting the spot on Saturday, it was observed that the building was not being constructed according to the design approved by the City Corporation, and the work was proceeding in violation of the plan. When asked why the work was continuing on a holiday, the contractor, Zia, said, "The work is ongoing. It's not a problem; everything will be sorted out." However, the father-in-law of the building owner declined to make any comments regarding the matter.
