A seminar has been held in Nilphamari with the commitment to ensure 100% paperless and cashless land services in the journey from Digital Bangladesh to Smart Bangladesh. The seminar was organized as part of the countrywide 'Land Service Week and Land Fair 2026' program. The seminar, organized by the district administration, was held on Wednesday (20 May) afternoon in the conference room of the Nilphamari Deputy Commissioner's office. Representatives from various professions and classes of the district participated in it.

The Deputy Commissioner of Nilphamari, Mohammad Nayiruzzaman, was present as the chief guest at the seminar. The welcome speech was delivered by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Jyoti Bikash Chandra. Besides, the Principal of Nilphamari Government College, Siddiqur Rahman, delivered an important speech as an invited guest. Speakers at the seminar highlighted the diverse positive aspects of modern and digitized land management. It was informed that a revolutionary change is coming to the country's land sector as a result of the launch of the new 'Land Management Automation Systems'. Through this, citizens will get the following benefits.
Paperless and Cashless Service: Land services will be available through 100% online payment without any paper hassle.
Saving Time and Cost: People will save both time and money as there will be no need to visit offices repeatedly.
Broker-Free Administration: Reliance on middlemen or brokers will be completely reduced as services can be accessed directly online.
Accountability and Transparency: As the entire process is digital, transparency and accountability will be ensured in the system.
Record Updating: Record holding coordination and update management can be completed in the shortest possible time.

In his speech as the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nayiruzzaman said that the government is working tirelessly to deliver hassle-free and easy land services to the doorsteps of common people. Ensuring 100% paperless land service is now the main target. He further informed that a toll-free number is available to get any land-related complications resolved, or to get information and services easily from home. Citizens can call the number 16122 completely free of charge from any regular phone or smartphone to get all kinds of land-related information and assistance. At the end of the seminar, the present representatives welcomed this modern initiative of the government and emphasized its proper implementation at the field level.
