A fire broke out at Khawaja Tower in Dhaka’s Mohakhali area on Thursday.
Seven units of fire service are working to douse the blaze, said Fire Service and Civil Defence Media Wing Officer Shahjahan Shikder.
"A fire broke out on the 13th floor of Khawaja Tower at 4:58pm on Thursday. Firefighters reached the spot at 5:07pm,” he said.
Many people were seen on the rooftop, while others were seen breaking windows to escape the fire.
