Victory Day celebrated in Netrakona

Great Victory Day- 2022 was celebrated in Netrakona with humble respect to the martyred freedom fighters and a bright pledge to build a smart Bangladesh free from all irregularities, corruption, drugs, terrorism, militancy and hunger.
On the occasion of the day, a day-long program was taken up by the district administration. Other programs included gunfire, wreath laying at the memorial, ceremonial hoisting of the national flag, sports, discussions and cultural programmes.
The day begins auspiciously by firing 31 cannons every morning. At sunrise, wreaths were placed at the memorial of martyred freedom fighters. First the district administration led by Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Majlish, later Habiba Rahman Khan Sheyali MP, Superintendent of Police Md. Faiz Ahmed, District Awami League President Freedom Fighter (FF) Advocate Amirul Islam, General Secretary Advocate Shamchur Rahman (VP Liton) led the District Awami League and its affiliated leaders of the organization, the convenor of the district BNP, Prof. Dr. Md. Anwarul Haque and member secretary Md. Rafiqul Islam Hilali, Zilla Parishad Chairman Advocate FF Asit Kumar Sarkar Sajal, Netrakona Mayor Md. Nazrul Islam Khan, Upazila Parishad Chairman Md. Ataur Rahman Manik, former district commander FF Nurul Amin and former commander of Sadar Upazila FF Md. Ayyub Ali, Netrakona Red Crescent secretary lGazi Mozammel Hossain Tuku and leaders of various political, social, cultural organizations and all government, semi-government and private institutions and educational institutions paid tribute by laying flowers at the martyr's altar. 
At 8 a.m., a children's parade, physical exercise and an interesting display were held at the Netrakona Modern Stadium. Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan received the Majlish salam.
  At 11 am in the local public hall, the district administration welcomed the freedom fighters and held a discussion meeting highlighting the significance of the day and special prayers were held in all mosques, temples, churches and pagodas seeking forgiveness for the departed souls of Bad Zohar martyrs. At 2 o'clock in the morning, the concerned authorities serve high-quality food in hospitals, prisons and orphanages.
