A grand felicitation and reception ceremony was held to honor 155 brilliant students of Nilphamari Government College, one of the most traditional educational institutions in North Bengal, who secured admission into various medical colleges, engineering universities, and renowned public universities for the 2025-26 academic session. The glorious success of the students was celebrated through a magnificent program held today, Friday (June 5) morning, at the college auditorium.
Presided over by Professor A.K.M. Siddikur Rahman, Principal of Nilphamari Government College, the event was graced by the Administrator of the District Council, prominent lawyer Advocate Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury Shamim, as the chief guest. Offering guidance and directional speeches, the event was attended by special guests including Vice-Principal Professor Golam Mostafa Chowdhury, Secretary of the Teachers' Council Babul Hossain, Head of the Department of Philosophy Md. Shamsul Alam, Head of the Department of English Altafur Rahman, and Head of the Department of Chemistry Md. Jahangir Alam.
Expressing immense joy over the outstanding success of the students, the speakers said that Nilphamari Government College has long been playing a pioneering role in spreading the light of education and shaping worthy citizens in this region, and this phenomenal success is a continuation of that legacy. In their speeches, the chief guest and other academicians noted that this achievement of the students is not just a personal or familial success, but a matter of immense pride for the entire college and the Nilphamari district; however, they emphasized that merely acquiring higher education is not enough, and students must strive to become true human beings. During this time, the educators urged the youth not to confine themselves only to academic knowledge but to be inspired by morality, human values, and deep patriotism, expressing optimism that these young talents will play a leading role in building a developed and prosperous Bangladesh in the days ahead.
Meanwhile, a festive atmosphere prevailed across the college campus since morning centering the felicitation ceremony, and the eyes of the brilliant students reflected colorful dreams of the future upon receiving their tokens of honor. Parents present at the event became deeply emotional witnessing such achievements of their beloved children. The ceremony was attended by teachers from various departments of the college, a large number of students, and local dignitaries, who all inspired the achievers, turning the entire event into a grand reunion on the college premises.
