Cleanliness Drive and Rally in Nilphamari with a Call to Build a Dengue-Free Bangladesh

​A massive public awareness campaign and cleanliness drive to prevent dengue have been conducted in Nilphamari. On Saturday (June 6) morning, the District Civil Surgeon's Office and the General Hospital authorities jointly organized this program on the Nilphamari General Hospital premises. ​The program was organized under the theme "Let's clean our own environment, build a dengue-free Bangladesh," where Additional District Magistrate (Development and Human Resource Management) Md. Mehedi Murshed was present as the chief guest.


​Among others, District Civil Surgeon Dr. Abdur Razzak, Superintendent of Nilphamari General Hospital Dr. Abdullahhel Mafi, Residential Medical Officer (RMO) Dr. Debashish Sarkar, and President of the District Medical Technologist Association (Radiology) Nuruzzaman Sarkar, along with officers and employees of the local health department, participated in the event. ​Dr. Abdullahhel Mafi, Superintendent of the General Hospital, stated that raising awareness among the general public and keeping the surroundings clean are now the most urgent priorities to prevent the outbreak of dengue. He added that their awareness-raising efforts would continue with the goal of destroying the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes and building a clean Bangladesh.
